The election is over.....let's talk about education

Hi to all! I stumbled across a story on USA Today concerning plans for a gay-friendly high school in Chicago, IL (for the full story, here is the link:)

http://www.usatoday.com/news/education/2008-11-20-gay-high-school_N.htm

It's not enough that we have to worry about our kids and what they may or may not be learning in schools (by the way, Nevada R-5 does an excellent job, no bias intended!), but now kids are possibly going to be subjected to segregated schools again, this time by "sexual orientation". Being a Christian, I believe that homosexualism is wrong, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. If they are gay or lesbian, they can still be included in regular schools, just have stricter policies on harassment within the schools, not spend additional tax dollars to make gay/lesbian only schools.

What do you think??

It's finally over..........or is it??

Well, followers, the election is over, and Obama won it. But what did he really win? I saw on Fox News that he will inherit the worst financial times our country has seen in 70 years, as well as involvement in events around the world, mostly the Iraq War. How do you seen things now, and what will you predict for the near future, and for the next 4 years?

Who To Vote For ??

November 4th is rapidly approaching, and this will be one of, if not THE, most important presidential election in our nation's history. We will have either our first African American president, or the first female vice-president, both of which are historical accomplishments.

How do you feel the candidates stand out? Who do you like, and why?

Let's talk about it!
